You could filter sunlight to D50, because the sun emits a fairly
continuous spectrum, but manmade light sources don't -- they emit
spiky wavelengths, so there isn't much to filter.
The best we can do is to make light sources that produce tristimulus
values equal to those of the D50 reference illuminant, or more
strictly to a correlated color temperature of 5000K.
