--- Well - those are bulbs.
I use those as well.
But, here, people are saying they have yet yo
see a D** bulb that will put out a decent spectrum.
--
I know I have an "over the lens" filter pack
thai I can manipulate for various on location
photo shoots.
Get out the old color meter - measure the wavelength
of the light - build a filter pack fot my lenses -
then shoot away, using 'Daylight" film.
I have rarely been dissapointed whith the final result.
(Even under "warm white" tibes that usually
produce such exciting greens.)
--
So would large sheets of that stuff put over my lights
(even if they are D50) and my windows
to help produce a desired proofing illumination?
__
(Aisde) :
Just as my darkroom -
I have my darkroom, just in a normal room.
Then all my windows are
covered with Rubylith.
It is swell being able to spy on the world outside
while being in the darkroom - Bright as anything in there -
(instead of being in some cave)
--
so if we printer folks had windows covered with
large sheets of D50 mylars -
we could be proofing in consistant conditions
in our conference rooms.
Got to be wrong - but what is the deal?
