Well I am not to sure you haven't just taken out the one thing that makes a
great photo or piece of artwork. That is the human visual perception and
creation. Without a calibrated monitor, visual artist are at a loss . If
they can't see or get some kind of feel from the monitor at creation time
and just relied on the so called numbers "How Boring it would be"
When working with digital one can use both worlds the numbers and
understanding of what will happen when they are changed (shadow detail,
hi-light...) but never under estimate the feel of the visual.
So please keep working on the universal color workflow,so one day when the
artist hands or sends a piece to a printer they will see what they saw.
