Dot to belabor the obvious too much, but for content creators an accurate
visual reference is irreplaceable. Many aesthetic decisions about color
interaction cannot be made going by numbers alone! CM gives photographers
the ability to edit color after shooting, and using both numerical and
visual referents simultaneously is clearly superior to using either alone.
Bruce Fraser's ideal workflow where print shops become expert converting RGB
to press condition CMYK sounds like the ticket to me. I would guess most
commercial photographers won't be shooting film in another 5 years or so
anyway.
