Sorry about my late response. I have personal experiences with the
Spectrocam. I have the non-UV Spectrocam. I can read the extended Print
Open print target that consist of 840 patches that are averaged from about
12 readings each in 20 minutes. The portability and diversity is good. I
have had this Spectrophotometer for about 2 years. With this experience I
can tell you that it's export function can produce files that will work
with almost any software. I know this because of my experience with The
Spectrocam before there was much support for it. I am happy with the
monitor calibration abilities. I'm would prefer a colorimeter but It does
get the monitors I have used it on consistent. Here are some applications I
have successfully used it with that don't officially support the device by
driving it.
Print Open 4.0 by exporting and importing tab-delimited text.
Best color 4.2.3's device linearization by exporting and importing tab
delimited text in IT8 format.
ColorSynergy with exporting tab delimited files and some fancy sort
routines in Excel before importing it.
Creation of spectral data for reflection IT8 scanner targets.
Most of these may be covered by newer support for driving the spectrocam by
most software.
Just thought I would give my 2 cents worth of info.
