Henrik and others,
I was flabergasted to discover that, at least on the OSX version, InDesign
2.0 can only proof to CMYK printers? There is no way the Print Space popup
sees any of my perfectly good ICC RGB printers profiles. I've talked to
Adobe's tech support yesterday and I am waiting for an answer.
So much for people that are printing through the RGB pipeline -- like all
the desktop EPSON users of this world. They'll have to get iProof or
PressReady or some kind of desktop RIP to accept CMYK.
On the positive side, I was pleased to see that ID2 color conversions are
consistent : an AdobeRGB image converted to US SWOP Coated v2 ends up with
the same CMYK values wheter converted in Photoshop 6, Illustrator 9 (or 10)
and ID2. And all three images appear the same on screen across the three
products.
Any others observations, comments on InDesign 2 color management
capabilities?
