Steve,
Why would you want to change the default RI of a scanner? What is your
workflow? When you Assign the Scanner profile in PS6, your Conversion
options settings determined what RI is read from your scanner profile. If
you need to convert AbsCol from Scanner to Printer, just choosing AbsCol in
the ConvertToProfile will force an AbsCol RI from your Scanner in order to
carry it AbsCol to the Printer.
At least, that's how I know it works.
