Its jsut a different way of previewing to make your corrections, less
necessary in Photoshop 6 than with earlier versions.

previous profile applied? Of course you need to be converting to this
profile, not just assigning it, when you say "tag it" I get worried that you
are not doing this corectly. This should show the edits, but keep in mind
that Photoshop is using different tables from the same profile to simulate
what a print will look like. Your real test is to print through the adjusted
profile, and see what the output looks like. It works as expected for me...
