As far as I know, IE v4 and higher on the Mac is the only browser that
supports color management. Windows browsers do not rely on ICM or other
means of color management using the OS.
If you convert your files to sRGB you will be the ball park. If you don't
mind doubling your storage requirement for images on the server make two
photo galleries, one converted to sRGB and the other to Apple RGB.
The is simplest approach IMHO. Ask which gamma setting looks closer
(similar to the Adobe Gamma slider idea) and direct them to a gallery that
has images converted for that OS platform.
