Yes, on a range of matte, luster and glossy media.
There are a couple issues. These inks are "metameric" in that other meaning,
and as such they typically build profiles that are closest to what they
should be under tungsten lighting, with colors moving farther afield as the
light source moves higher. No real fix for that...
Also, the black ink in the C80 does not adhere well to most glossy paper. So
the driver is set to use CMY inks only for glossy media, which does make the
results more durable, but it make the blacks weaker than the dark colors
(this driver must have the world's steepest black curve: from all CMY to all
K in one jump!).
So for matte media you are all set, but for gloss or semigloss, if you want
deep blacks you need to lie and tell the printer that you are using matte m
edia, so black ink will be used. If the media in question is good at holding
the Epson black ink, that's fine, otherwise you will need to spray the gloss
prints to avoid black smudging, or use the gloss setting, and get black
reversals in your images... pick your poison. Its a pretty impressive
archival photo printer considering it was intended as a low cost business
printer, but the issues noted above make it a bit problematic.
