1. Make a new CMYK document with a white background
2. Save
3. Measure the white values in CMYK using the eyedropper
4. Close the document
5. Open the document and measure the white values again
6. Marvel at how white has now become C:1 M:1 Y:1 K:0
7. Make a new document as in (1)
8. "Save As" rather than saving
9. Re-do points 3 thru 6 and tell me if there is any difference?
Folks, it's already BEEN documented as a known bug (sneaky optimizer bug).
It only affects CMYK JPEG files.
Of course, it begs the more important question: Why are you using a
lossy format to store CMYK images if you care about 1 percent
differences?
