OK, I was trying to ascertain the status of this convention. First
step was to ascertain whether it is in the ICC spec. If not, what status
does it have, and where is it documented ?
A simple "It's documented here ...", or "It doesn't seem to be
documented officially anywhere .." would be sufficient reply.

I was merely indicating my displeasure (in a fairly polite way I though !)
to the condescending tone of the suggestion that I didn't know where
the ICC web page was. I can tell you from some of the feedback I've
received, that the tone of the articles that you and John Zimmerer have
posted haven't helped the reputation of the companies that own the domain
that your email addresses are attached to, and whatever products or services
they sell, either.
