The "alpha" drivers currently available from Epson only support USB
connections.
I doubt if they support Classic Firewire since they don't support it in
native mode.
I've used the USB connection successfully in native mode, haven't tried
Classic mode.

I'm having trouble with the firewire connection to from a G4 to an Epson

and then run classic the port is not recognized. Do I just have to start up
in 9.2 any time I want to use the firewire port for the scanner, or is there
a way around the problem?
