...and if you had changed the quality from 4 to 12, Gary?
Whenever I receive a jpeg - let's say a friend sends me a snapshot and I
make a few quick color corrections, then re-save - I'll set the quality
to 12 and choose "Baseline Optimized", since, of the three options, it
creates the smaller file. I don't care about file size. Should I just
leave the settings, as is, or does any quality change degrade the image?
Another question.... I have a plugin for JPEG 2000, or .jp2. Supposedly
.jp2 less-lossy or non-lossy (I can't recall), but is this format useless
for general file sharing, because most recipients won't be able to open
the file - or is it like a .sea that is self operating.
