I'd be interested in contacting anyone with *specific* experience
scanning 35 mm slides with a Nikon 4000 or 8000 and then printing to
an Epson 10000.
I'd like to know about sharpening prior to printing. Do you do so at
the scan stage? Do you do it just before printing? What kind of
settings do you use? (I know the settings depend on file size, etc.,
but I'm looking for ballpark figures; my scans are roughly full frame
at 4000 dpi, printed to 6x9, 13x19, 24x36...)
Also, I'd like to know if there's a better technique than just the
Unsharp Filter in PS.
All I'm trying to do is to make the best possible print and
compensate for loss of sharpness caused by the digital equipment...
Feel free to contact me directly. Thank you.
Armand
