I'd have the Spectroscan do more than one patch sampling just to be on the
safe side. How many? Five seems excessive (if you have the time, why not).
Two or three would be a reasonable thing to do to insure you get a good
"average" of the patch which may have some texture that would make a single
measure a bit dicy.
