The best product I've seen is SliverFast's HDR (you feed it high bit files)
with their newer "Negafix" option. Scan the neg as a neg. Let SilverFast do
the inversion and remove the orange mask. Does a pretty nice job! Version
6.0 just got announced and I haven't seen it yet but on paper, looks like a
good upgrade. Software is made by LaserSoft. A few ex-LinoColor guys.
There is a fully functional demo you can download.
