We have had quite good luck scanning color negs, using the Lino software.
We're a color lab, so the neg aspect of the operation is not especially
unusual for us....I'll check with one of our other operators who uses a
different scanner, the Nikon 8000, who also seems to be successful with negs,
using the Nikon sofware. This is limited to roll film sizes, however.
Kodak makes professional scanners for high volume labs, which I understand do
an excellent job.
If you haven't licked the problem, contact me offline, and I'll get some
info for you as to the manner in which we handle negs.
