ColorQuartet (Software for driving ScanMate scanners) has excellent tools
for scanning color negatives
Yes it does, although we've actually gone through the trouble to create a
custom color setup for the negative films we shoot the most. The negative
profiles CQ gives you are better than nothing, but if you shoot something
like a MacBeth card (or other target) with your primary negative film its
relatively simple to create a custom color negative setup within
ColorQuartet (we're using v4). The documentation actually touches on this,
but the art of scanning color negs is truly an art indeed. There are lots
of groans here when we are asked to scan negatives!
