I have a LaCie electron22blueIII which has two outlets for 'puters. I have a
PC running Win 98SE and a Mac Powerbook with OS X.1.5. I calibrate/profile my
monitors with ColorVision's Spyder and PhotoCal most of the time. On the
monitor there is an AB switch that allows me to switch from the PC to the Mac
and back (and you thought that when you went Mac you'd never go back). I find
this a very nice feature but I'm wondering....
My question has to do with: If I calibrate the monitor and create a profile
for the Mac, switch to the PC and do the same but for the PC, when I switch
back and forth, are the profiles automatically taking over or is the monitor
really only recognizing one profile? I'm finding that I don't have to make
any adjustments to the monitor settings other than selecting a different
number under the color settings on the control panel of the monitor's
software. Are these valid, working profiles or am I fooling myself?
Thanks for your tme and attention.
