Maybe this sound's non-sense or evem a very novice ask.
Anyway...
After a year profiling only CMYK printers, I could take a shot in CMY circus.
My memory is not so good but I still remember that I have strange & similar
behaviors with diferents profiling suites.
My scenario is:
I try to build CMY profiles using very diferents Suites: PM 4, PO4, CB 4.2 and
ProfilerPro.
For Epson (3000/5000/1520/1280/777/640) printers and Hp 1220C.
For plain papers / glossy / semmiglossy / photo premium and many flavours.
I use DTP41uv / spectrocam and colorsavvy spectros.
Well, I always get profiles that made pure yellows very "dirt" (a lot of
Cyan/magenta/black mixed), in menor degree, of course, have some "dirt" in
pure Magentas and Cyan.
I know that is very usual have some mixture in pure inks, but I wondering if
values like L 80 / a 58 / b -3 ( for 100%Y) are usual too for this category of
profiles. Realize that in this image I have 100% C with L 49 / a -27 / b -41
and M L 44 / a 54 / b -5.
This Cyan and Magenta look very pleasant, but the yellows..... Show evem
better in printout.
I must to say that edit profiles to cut some dirt in the Editing packs is not
a walk in the park.
If anyone have any clue, will be very welcome.
I have no luck with techinicians...
Best regards,
