Well, that's not *entirely* the case. I believe if you or a friend has a
full-blown Best ColorProof RIP, you can create custom profiles and use
ColorProof's "ProfileKeeper" application to patch the profile with the
necessary info (rez, paper type, baselin, etc.) and then bring this over to
to either Designer Edition or Photo Edition. I believe you can create custom
baselins the same way. I'm wondering out loud if it's possible to just get
the ProfileKeeper application by itself and run it on a Windoze PC as a
standalone app? May require the dongle but I'm not sure. Just a thought.
