Can somebody explain .
If you have a new epson and are only using one printer in your workflow as
your cmyk proofer or RGB printer. Is it not in its original printing state
when you turn it on for the first time install your rip and then print your
test file. Would we not get accurate profiles using professional profiling
equipment and test charts.
Isn't profiling going to set your inks and paper and printer in line with
each other.
why would the printer not always be in its original state if its working
properly. Now we are talking about the printers hardware ex. printheads.
If you stay with the same ink set 9600 chrome inks and just profile for
different papers would this not be a consistent way of working .
How does linearization put the printers hardware and parts back to the
original sate.
Is linearization just a black generation profile of the printer?
Sorry for my ignorance on this matter.

Jamie
