Just make sure that the unit features real gain controls on top of the usual
of the usual brightness and contrast controls. Some SONY even have bias
controls, allowing to st the black point very precisely (ifmemory serves me
well). I recently calibrated and profile a nice SONY 21" but was disapointd
that it didn't even had RGB gain controls, only color temperature presets.
Essentially a black box monitor!
Personnally, I prefer the Mitsus. The DP-2060U comes with a Chroma
calibrator and software and has DDC controls.
