Thank you for your advice. I have tried resetting the monitor to factory
defaults but I am still having intermittent problems. Perhaps I have a bad
monitor, but the underlying issue here is trust. These monitors are as
expensive as they are because the operators are supposed to be able to
trust that they are staying in calibration, and be alerted if they are
not. At the moment I simply don't trust this monitor any farther than I
could throw it (which isn't very far...these things are heavy!).
Contrary to what others might think, I really don't think that this is a
Mac/Windows issue, or a OS 9/OS X issue for that matter (and for the
record, when you export the Barco profile the software does indeed know
where to put it within the System in order to be recognized).
This is certainly probably worth a call to Esko-Graphics, but right now I
can't afford to take this one out of the production loop. No rest for the
weary! Thanks to everyone who offered their thoughts and suggestions...
