Hi:

Just to suggest another possible factor in monitor performance...

I have experienced monitor alignment issues (also with my Artisan) if there are any stray magnetic fields present. I have found that monitors (especially CRT flat screens) are extremely sensitive to any magnetic fields. These may come from computers, peripherals, cables, even through the wall from wires or equipment in or on the other side. CRT monitors can even be adversely affected by the Earth's magnetic field, when moving or rotating them. Fortunately, if the field effect is only momentary, the degaussing system in the monitor will overcome it (if it has not been too strong). But, special attention should paid to any source of continuing magnetic fields that may be exposed to a CRT monitor.

Jim
