Calibrating old and new Cinema displays

  • Subject: Calibrating old and new Cinema displays

Being in the fortunate?, position of having two cinema displays connected to
a G4 I was a little disappointed to find the older one 229 somewhat less
brighter than the newer 232 model. I guess this is just TFTs evolving. I
ordered an iOne display and tried to get some some match between the two. No
matter which settings I try, they still don9t match.
If they were CRTs, I would say the white point was much higher than the
other.
Is there some way of equalising the two? Is it a limitation of the iOne s/w?
I don9t want to have to buy another 232!

Thanks for any suggestions,

Peter
