Just for discussion.
Just trying to summarize some topics.
Just formulating some ideas and thoughts.
Seems like the ColorSync Utility settings are legacy support for some vendor
specific apps.
Sad that others ignore the user friendly power of this, but not Apples fault.
But I liked the Configuration Settings in OS 9 as well (made my life as a
color management consulter and administrator more comfortable)
Remember that people trying to register their devices in ColorSync?
My sugestion:
Let _people_ register _devices_ in the ColorSync Utility.
By _devices_, I think about NULL devices that are possible under MS Windows,
connected or not to anything in real life.
What about creating a _device_ that is responsible for managing pictures
saved by Safari. ->tag them with sRGB
Create a _device_ for camera XYZ. ->Tag all images of this camera with
_My_Camera_XYZ_Profile_
Create a EPSON Printer with paper profile _Photo_Quality_Paper_ and ColorSync
using exactly this profile (so we can get that NULL transform for shure
if we manage our colors in the app)
Just an idea, but this would be more promising to me than a 3GHz G5.
