Great tip, thanks. great feature too.

Wish Apple'd make that printer column window in the Colorsync utility
expandable, it's frustrating to see 6 or so 1290's listed with the full
name cut short, the info about each only available in the main window
upon highlighting each in the list.

Have you found that the C-Sync pipeline in OSX is capable of
referencing the actual image profile [the workingspace - usually]?
AFAIK it seemed broken on OS9 - apparently looking to the system
profile for a source - even from a profile savvy app. like Photoshop.

Perhaps it can do that in Photoshop [OSX], or, perhaps any application
capable of passing embedded proifile info to the convert/print process.?

I guess that printing from applications without the ability to read
embedded profiles is where this workflow becomes useful - however, we
might be expecting a lot to hope that C-Sync will reference an image's
embedded profile. I guess this may be where the OSX "Default profiles"
come into use - so we need a set procedure we always use for apps like
Word etc.?

Maybe it's in THE RWCM BOOK? excellent though it is, I didn't get that
far yet. I'd have to say I'm having a lot of trouble finding the
confusing and badly presented part that the guy from Boulder referred
to ;-}. Seem like a GREAT book to me.

same old story ;(
sometimes one step forward 2 steps back though!
