I thought it was a bad profile at first but when I
look at the Photodisc test image using Internet Explorer it looks great.
As soon as I open the same Photodisc test image in PS all the yellows
and skin tones get oversaturated and there is a distinct yellow cast. (I
assigned sRGB profile and converted the file to Adobe RBG 1998)
The PhotoDisc test image, I believe, is an AdobeRGB.icc embedded tiff
and jpeg. At least the ones I use are and I haven't saved over them
(lately). Assigning sRGB would make it look like IE if you don't have
color management enabled in IE (because it would then assume sRGB for
image display by default).
Has anyone else had the same problems with Optical profiles?
Yes. But I haven't determined if it is the fault of OptiCal generated
profiles or just the fact I never upgraded from v3.1. Plus my
oversaturatin in yellows only appears to be coming from my d100 - the
usual suspect so far in my books.
