I guess this may be where the OSX "Default profiles"
come into use -
Note: OSX.2.3: No "system profile" awareness until (or unless) an
application like Gretag MeasureTool reveals 'Generic RGB'. Is this
really the case.
same old story ;(
sometimes one step forward 2 steps back though!
So if you can't fix it, why not hide it.
Makes it difficult when our administrator asks me to justify why we
should expand our single Jaguar license to six more workstations from
OS9 when:
A: Can't control or demonstrate improved CM flow over existing OS9.x
B: Cloggy and cumbersome Printflow (particularly with custom page
creation). AdobePS 8.8.1 under OS9.x literally screams in comparison.
C: Can't 'make' OS9 use the OSX display panel monitor profile choice
(unless you simply overwrite the existing one being used under OS9).
I had a workaround under OSX.1.5 but not Jaguar.
Not much to do with Epson. But, oh well, I don't have one.
Any feedback muchly appreciated. All this troubleshooting is cutting
into my 'mailtime'...
