Remove the loader shortcut from the C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\ Programs\ Startup folder.
Or better yet download a handy little utility called 'Starter" from

or do a web search for STARTUP MANAGER and you'll find quite a few
available for free or fees.

for definitions and explanations of all those running processes and
what's really necessary and what's useless/spyware/etc.
It's helped get XP under control and remove crapola from my system.
