Guys/Gals,
I'm hoping to gather a few comments from those who may have compared
the Gretag icColor and Barbieri XY 50. Or tested either?
they both look pretty nice on paper. Compact, speedy. Good value.
Barbieri XY 50
for - somewhat like a mini Spectroscan with transmissive option - at a
great price.
maybe user changeable filters [UV and polariser] are available?
against - small targets [muliti feeding], slower than icColor? limited
SW support, doesn't seem possible to run it on a Mac and collect data
for ProfileMaker pro 4.1.1. BICC 3C and 4C apparently offer support and
I look forward to testing them, but I don't want to bin PMPro of
course. spectral resolution 10nm [100Y is 3nm]
icColor, seems to have a lot going for it?
for - USB, compact, fast? siad to be like a motorised, better, iOne
against - small targets [muliti feeding] , no user filtration options
not much SW support, currently
DTP 41?
all the best
neil
