Perhaps you should take a stroll through www.robgalbraith.com and explain
all the magenta issues with D1x cameras. Or how about the Ethan Hansen post
about 2 D1x cameras shooting the same shot, processing through Camera Raw
and getting 2 very different color files. Could it be that each camera is
different. I don't think that should even be a question, and I think someone
is pulling some serious wool here by suggesting they are not. We have been
here several times in the last few years and always end up back at the
beginning where cameras differ and need profiles. I have no doubt that many
people have gotten better results than profiling. I am also very sure that
the is a huge majority of lousy camera profiles out there. I was not
suggesting the beta testers were not photographers. Rather that a certain
color consultant came to the wrong conclusion because he does not understand
the process.
