Fear of metamerism (or differential response to different light sources for
those who refuse that meaning to the word) means that using pure color
pigments is a good idea... but such pigments come is a limited color range.

I would add that some of the most vocal critics are in the business of
developing and marketing camera profiling software or targets. Not that this
should deny them a voice, but it would tend to affect their opinions...
