I guess our applicaation classifies as fine art... The
printer will be used by graphic design students to
output their final projects, done in quark, indesign,
etc. CMYK, pantone spot color, maybe inpositioning. We
want the printouts to match the screen colors. We want
to run the RIP on an old 400MHZ G45 desktop powermac.
Our budget if we buy now is about $1600. If we wait
until Fall we might be able to pay more. But it would
be nice to get the system going this summer, ready for
classes when they begin.

That sounds like us. Also Best does not run on mac (as
server)? I've also gotten the impression it is *very*
complicated. Most of what little I've found on the web
mentions ImagePrint in a positive way.
