Has anyone tried using basICColor Display with the DDC cable (about
$210)? Does such a fully automated system really work?
I am a little tired of having to pay hundreds (occasionally
thousands) of dollars for color management stuff that doesn't work
well for me. This monitor calibration solution is too obscure to find
a trustworthy review, and ColorMall's return policy is less than
generous (they seem to be the only source -- which worries me).
I am in the process of moving up to OSX, and would like to upgrade my
monitor calibration to run natively. I'm currently using an old
version (1.5) of ProveIt USB with Sequel Chroma4, so the least
expensive path is to upgrade ProveIt for about $60. I like the idea
of using the DDC cable, but I can't find any comments from anyone
who's tried it, and the fact there is only one vendor that sells this
stuff... but I'm repeating myself.
Thanks for any input.
Armand
