On the Epson pro printers the ink flow can be reduced per channel
as a result of obstructions in the ink path. Next to that your
problem may be more related to the pigment ink. The ink settles
in time, especially the yellow and black are prone to it in my
experience. All pigment inks have that problem.
Remedy: take the cart out from time to time and shake it. Same
method is prescribed by Epson for the 7600/9600/10600 etc. If you
get your carts empty within a month then there is no reason to
worry about that.
On inkflow: the 9000 inklines are quite long (that has changed
with the 7600/9600). The dampers (with the small sieves) just
before the heads are usually the main reason for reduced inkflow,
especially with pigment inks they tend to block in time. Then
there's one thing often not checked by the Epson servicemen: the
needle that punctures the cart seal when the new cart is put in
can get blocked by seal material. Especially when empty carts are
refilled
the seal gets worn out and particles get into the needle. For the
same reason air can get in the inkflow when the seal isn't
fitting tight anymore on the needle. So don't refill a cart too
often. There's another reason to avoid leaking seals, Epson
placed the electronic cart sensor pcb directly underneath the
spot where the needles are. I know of at least 5 printers that
didn't work anymore for wet electronics.
With a continuous ink supply (bottles etc) part of the problems
are solved. Build thirteen so far. After that the best thing is
to keep the printer going, it shakes enough to keep the pigment
particles afloat :-)
Of course there are other possible causes for your problem, for
example Mediastreet has two types of Generations yellow AFAIK,
the printer head may have problems, you may have forgotten to
take out the Epson OEM profile while reinstalling the driver
