Last time I've tried to fight with MS Office apps (couple of years ago),
the situation was like this: only RGB output is possible from all the
office applications; sRGB is always assumed for Office graphics and
imported images; all the CMYK images are converted to RGB as well - god
knows what kind of conversion is going on there in this case. I don't
believe much have changed since then, it was hopeless (both - MAC and
WIN platforms). The only way around this I could find is to colour
manage all the images to sRGB prior importing them into MS Office, print
as is and do the sRGB2Printer conversion elsewhere (rip sw, etc.). Black
text might require special treatment since, encoded as RGB, it most
probably is going to be converted to 4 colours and not single black, not
nice at all in some cases...
