Editing profile black point?

Hello all,
Is there a way to edit the black point in a profile? I'm using Gretag's
Profile Editor and I don't see a clear method for doing that.
My "problem" is that quite often my destination/proofer profile will end up
with a higher minimum L* value than my source/press profile causing clipping
of the shadows in a colorimetric rendering. Perceptual rendering "fixes"
this problem but you lose the ability to do paper white simulation plus it
compromises the precise matching of process builds. I figure if I could just
bring the black point of the press profile closer to the proofer profile I'd
have this problem licked.
If we just had an option for colorimetric rendering with black point
compensation in these proofing RIPs, this wouldn't be a problem (and, yes, I
know that there's a couple of products that do but I'm using Best ColorProof
4.6.3 at the moment).
Regards,
Terry Wyse
