Hello Colorsync list,
Can anyone help me on the following issue please.
I use a profiling application (name withheld) which has a major bug in the
Macintosh version! Basically when you create printer profiles (mainly cmyk
inkjet,) you end up with what I believe they call a 'scum mark' in areas of
the printed image that should be clear of ink. I have been informed that there
is a way to 'remove the white point' that would fix this by editing the nCIE
file after measuring the patches but prior to creating the profile.
Please get as detailed and in-depth as your hearts desire, I appreciate any
help that you can spare.
Your problem can have various reasons, therefore I think you have to
squeal some more details so as the list can give you proposals for solution:
- Name and version of the profiling application
- Name, OS an version of ther RIP software and/or CMM the problem occurs
with
- further profile(s) concerned when the problem occurs
- is the problem reproducible in Photoshop (with RI relative
colorimetric or perceptual)
e.g. I had the same problem with ProfileMaker 3.1 profiles and BestColor
4.?. It could been solved by updating BestColor.
Regards, Klaus
