Colorsync Filters in Mac OS X 10.3

  • Thread-topic: Colorsync Filters in Mac OS X 10.3

Hello,

Has anyone figured out how the ColorSync filters (ColorSync Utility) work in Mac OS X 10.3? These filters can be applied when printing. I'm trying to make a filter that converts my images (sRGB) to the output profile I made for my printer (Epson Stylus Photo 870). This is the filter I set up:
color tab:
- all objects checked
- rendering intent: perceptual
- intermediate transform: none
- convert color data to: myprinterprofile.icc
The images are tagged with the sRGB profile, and the default RGB color space in ColorSync Utility is also sRGB.
When printing, I apply this filter (ColorSync-popup) and turned color management in the Epson driver off. Indesign outputs to sRGB.
The result is always darker than using the traditional method from Indesign or Photoshop.

Any ideas?

Best wishes,
