The 7700 is not Fiery driven, the DocuColor 12 (DC12) and the latest DocuColor 3535 is.
Don't know much about the Oki 9500, but I believe it's 30ppm, allow 1024M RAM, check their site for CPU (ripping speed). Also I'd recommend have a look at the Xante CL30, my impression is the Xante is nothing short of Oki though the internal guts are exactly the same.
