Did you run the DDC tester app that is in the application folder? This
seems to be a critical step if you want to use DDC.
Yes I used the Checker and it sees the DDC but the app still screws up.
True, there is no
printed manual, but there is a fairly comprehensive PDF included with the
installation (so RTFM still applies!).
No it doesn't apply at all. That PDF is for novices only. Sleek but
devoid of useful detail. Thanks to folks on the List I now know what
I need to know.
It works very well on my OS X box
hooked up to a ElectronBlue 22b4.
Yes, great. But they admitted to me that it doesn't communicate
properly with some fully DDC compliant monitors like mine (lucky me).
This is a feature, BTW.
The DDC feature is more of a luxury than
anything else (IMO), although some have said that the computer controlled
adjustments (via the DDC protocol) can be made in finer increments.
Yes that's what basICColor says when you (I) discover this feature
doesn't work where it should. But it doesn't prevent them from
stressing it in their sales lit. Nevertheless the profiles I get
without DDC are decent so it's not a total dud.
Thanks for the reply.
Armand
