One additional question:
I tried generating one profile using native gamma (by supplying --- in the gamma field). The results show a greener color cast, and the ColorSync Utility shows the gamma in the profile as 2.262 for all three colors. What should I make of this?
Since the gamma is pretty close to 2.20, there's not too much difference there. But how, if I wanted to, would I manage the apparent color difference. Another colleague on this forum suggests the following:
"The 'native gamma' profile is the only one which does _no_ corrections on the LUT of the video card. So the slight cast is the remaining difference of the wanted color and the color which can be calibrated in the hardware itself."
