Well this could open up a whole can of worms.
For one now my question would also have to include how consistent are
the pantone swatch books.
In the case I'm focusing on is how close should a printer be to the
swatch book. Many printers mix the pantone colors inhouse.
Color mixing must be getting better.
I just bought a quart of paint to patch a bathroom that was painted a
few months ago from paint mixed in a 5 gallon pale.
I am amazed at how close the color matches.
