I never saw any PANTONE color variations study to be frank. And I don't know
too many people who will buy 10 swatch books from different parts of the
country to study their colorimetric variation. I imagine it must be rather
close but I am not in a position to risk quantifying that variation here.


I have seen a study on PANTONE book variations. You9d probably be stunned,
if not frightened, by the results. I don9t remember the exact results (E
numbers) but they were off by more than I9d call acceptable in my internal
color matching system.
