I haven't posted to the list in a while, but I've just run into this problem
and I'll bet someone here will have a suggestion ...I hope.
I'm using Silverfast Ai 6 with an Epson 3200. The combination has been
working very well with chromes and reflective material. I scanned a few 4x5
Fuji NPL negs and I'm getting very different results. Following my usual
color correction path, I get a fine looking image on the monitor, do a soft
proof to my printer profile and get a print that's oversaturated and/or
darker. I ran the PhotoDisc test file through the system and the resulting
monitor representation and printed image are very close, as usual.
Have I missed something obvious in color management, somewhere? I don't
usually scans negs, so anything's possible.
Thanks
