There are RIPs and Profiling packages that will let you set
ink limits during profiling. For instance, Argyll lets you set an ink
limit when you create the profiling test patches. Cyclone has a couple
of color profiles that set an ink limit while passing the other device
values through unchanged, allowing the printing of profile test charts
from a profiling package that don't have ink limits themselves. I'm
sure there are others examples.
