The dot gain seems to be closer to 26% than to 20%, as far as we can
estimate by using the profile to convert a gradient and examining the
resulting values...

What procedures can someone use to determine the dot gain of a CMYK
profile (or the gamma of an RGB profile)? I'd like to do that myself on
a few profiles I've made from Matchprints. And since when is 20% a
'normal' press dot gain? I've always assumed 22% for web and sheetfed.
Please enlighten me!
